Rodica Apopei<\/strong> –\u00a0Pre\u0219edintele Comitetului Director al RCI <\/span><\/h5>\n

Rodica este originara din Piatra-Neamt si locuieste impreuna cu familia in Irlanda de peste 29 de ani. Face munc\u0103 voluntar\u0103 chiar din primii ani de cand a ajuns \u00een Irlanda, la diferite agen\u021bii de traducere, la \u0219coli private sau de stat, la sta\u021bii de radio \u0219i ziare. Plecata de-acasa la varsta tineretii, Rodica \u0219i-a continuat educa\u021bia academic\u0103 \u00een Irlanda \u0219i a terminat Adult Guidance and Counselling in Maynooth University, 2007. A lucrat peste 21 de ani pentru Department of Social Protection \u0219i iube\u0219te sa ajute oamenii din orice col\u021b al lumii. \u00cen prezent lucreaz\u0103 \u00een cadrul Departamentului de Agricultura, ca Executive Officer. S-a alaturat echipei de voluntari al RCI \u00een ianuarie 2018, tot din dorin\u021ba de a ajuta comunitatea \u0219i membrii ei \u0219i \u00ee\u0219i dore\u0219te s\u0103 aduc\u0103 un plus de valoare \u0219i contribu\u021bie la eforturile organiza\u021biei, de promovare a valorilor culturale \u0219i tradi\u021bionale rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti.<\/p>\n

Rodica is originally from Piatra-Neamt and has been living with her family in Ireland for over 29 years. She has been doing voluntary work since the first years she arrived in Ireland, at various translation agencies, at private or state schools, at radio stations and newspapers. Left home at a young age, Rodica continued her academic education in Ireland and completed Adult Guidance and Counseling in Maynooth University, graduated in 2007. She has worked for over 21 years for the Department of Social Protection and loves helping people from all the world. She currently works in the Department of Agriculture, as an Executive Officer. She joined the RCI volunteer team in January 2018, also out of a desire to help the community and its members and wants to add value and contribution to the organization’s efforts, to promote Romanian cultural and traditional values.<\/em><\/p>\n

Anca Lupu locuie\u0219te \u00een Irlanda din anul 2000 \u0219i activeaz\u0103 \u00een sectorul ONG-urilor de 18 ani, oferind sprijin, consiliere, coordonare \u0219i consultan\u021b\u0103 persoanelor, grupurilor etnice minoritare \u0219i multor organiza\u021bii de stat din Irlanda, dedic\u00e2nd mult timp voluntariatului. Anca este manager la un centru de psihoterapie si consiliere din Dublin \u00eens\u0103 a lucrat \u0219i la agen\u021bia na\u021bional\u0103 Citizens Information Service \u0219i \u00een alte organiza\u021bii na\u021bionale \u0219i locale din sectorul ONG-urilor irlandeze. Anca \u0219i-a \u00eenceput cariera ca \u00eenv\u0103\u021b\u0103toare \u00eens\u0103 ajung\u00e2nd \u00een Irlanda a fost atras\u0103 de Community Development, Interculturalism \u0219i Coaching pe care le practic\u0103 zilnic, calific\u00e2ndu-se ulterior ca Life & Parent Coach \u0219i Professional trainer. Abilit\u0103\u021bile sale, personalitatea puternic\u0103 \u0219i atitudinea pozitiv\u0103 au influen\u021bat \u0219i dezvoltat enorm, at\u00e2t organiza\u021bia noastr\u0103, c\u00e2t si a altor comunit\u0103\u021bi \u0219i organiza\u021bii din Irlanda.<\/p>\n

Anca Lupu has been living in Ireland since 2000 and has been a community activist in the NGO sector for more than 18 years providing support, guidance, facilitation and consultancy to both individuals and groups from diverse communities, dedicating a lot of her time to cultural, educational, humanitarian and integration events in Ireland. She currently works as Manager in a Psychotherapy and Counselling centre in Dublin, and held other management positions in the Irish community sector throughout the years including Citizens Information Service. She qualified as a teacher in Romania, but since her arrival in Ireland she trained in Community Development and Interculturalism, Life and Parent Coaching, Volunteer Facilitation and Management. Anca is an inspiring person with extensive knowledge and experience of the community sector in Ireland and a true people\u2019s person. Her various skills, inspiring character and positive attitude influenced hugely the running and the development of many organisations in Ireland including RCI.<\/em><\/p>\n

Florin Andreiu<\/strong> –\u00a0Vicepre\u015fedintele Comitetului Director al RCI<\/span><\/h5>\n

Florin este originar din ora\u0219ul Br\u0103ila, de pe malul Dun\u0103rii, unde a locuit p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een 2001, c\u00e2nd a decis s\u0103 emigreze \u00een Sco\u021bia. Pe durata celor cinci ani petrecu\u021bi \u00een Glasgow a fost implicat \u00een organiza\u021bia Romanians in UK, particip\u00e2nd la \u00eent\u00e2lnirile lor frecvente din Londra. De asemenea, a activat \u0219i \u00een comunitatea Romanians in Glasgow. Dupa ce s-a mutat \u00een Irlanda, c\u0103tre sf\u00e2r\u0219itul anului 2006, Florin a dorit s\u0103-\u0219i continuie implicarea \u00een sectorul de voluntariat \u0219i din anul 2007 a devenit un simpatizant al demersurilor RCI, iar \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu anul 2012 a devenit membru deplin al oraniza\u021biei.<\/p>\n

Florin was born in the lovely Danube city of Braila, where he lived until 2001, when later decided to migrate to Scotland. During his 5 year stay in Glasgow, he was involved with the community organisation Romanians in UK and participated to their frequent meetings in London. He was also an active member in the small community of Romanians in Glasgow. Following his relocation to Ireland (end of 2006), Florin decided to continue his involvement in the voluntary sector and became a supporter of the RCI’s activities since 2007 and a full member of the board since 2012.<\/em><\/p>\n

I came to Ireland in 2000 from Tamaseni, Neamt and from the beginning for me this “emerald Island” was and will always feel like home. I joined the RCI team in May 2019 because I believe in people and in their power to change and together we can help one another. We were not born just to make a decent living for ourselves, we were born to achieve something specific, to contribute, and together we can change something in the world and in the consciousness of our fellow humans.

M-am nascut in Roman, dar am copilarit pe valea Siretului in satul Adjudeni din Judetul Neamt. In anul 1999, am venit in Irlanda pentru a fi alaturi de sotul meu. Iubesc Irlanda si oamenii de aici; clima nu ma deranjeaza deloc, ba chiar iubesc iernile nu foarte friguroase si verile nu foarte fierbinti. Initial, am venit in Irlanda pentru un an.Dupa 20 de ani, sunt tot aici. Am descoperit voluntariatul in anii copilariei, cand tatal meu a sustinut echipa locala de fotbal din fonduri proprii; in fiecare duminica, era singura activitate pentru tinerii din sat. M-am alaturat echipei RCI in Mai 2017, ma bucur de fiecare clipa petrecuta alaturi de entuziasmul si energia membrilor. Am urmat cursurile de contabilitate si finante la \u201cThe Institute of Commercial Management\u201d (ICM). Actualmente, lucrez ca retail manager in sectorul de turism. Iubesc sa fiu in contact cu persoane diferite, cu povesti si personalitati diferite. I\u2019m a people\u2019s person. Motto: Invata ceva nou in fiecare zi.<\/p>\n

I was born in Roman, but I lived in a small village situated in the Valley of the river Siret.\u00a0I came in Ireland in 1999 to follow my spouse. I love Ireland and all the friendly people; the weather doesn\u2019t bother me at all, I actually love Irelands mild winters and cool summers. Initially, I came in Ireland for one year. After 20 years I\u2019m still here.\u00a0I discovered voluntary work in my childhood, my father was looking after the local soccer team. I am a Beclean resident from Valea Some\u0219ului Mare (Beclean city, Bistrita-N\u0103s\u0103ud) lover of poetry, history and traditions! Being a teacher for 20 years I always tried to promote everything that means cultural values! I later completed a general nursing school and in 2021 I came to Ireland to practice. I soon met the RCI team (by pure chance) and joined them out of a desire to continue doing what I love! I firmly believe that “nature makes us alike, and education makes us different!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Absolvent\u0103 a Facult\u0103\u021bii de Economia Afacerilor, momentan lucr\u00e2nd ca legal secretary la o firm\u0103 de avocatur\u0103 din Dublin. Pentru mine a fi voluntar \u00eenseamn\u0103 a d\u0103rui, iar a da ceva \u00eenapoi comunit\u0103\u0163ii \u00een care tr\u0103ie\u015fti este o experien\u0163\u0103 de neegalat. Codrina \u0218erb\u0103nescu, born in Bac\u0103u, Romania, settled in Ireland since 2020. Graduated from the Faculty of Business Economics, currently working as a legal secretary at a law firm in Dublin. For me, being a volunteer means giving, and giving something back to the community you live in is an unparalleled experience. For this reason I joined the wonderful RCI team in 2021, but also because of the desire to meet new people with similar interests.<\/em><\/p>\n

Daniela a fost membru al Comitetului Director RCI din 2007 \u0219i vicepre\u0219edinte al organiza\u021biei din anul 2016. Locuie\u0219te \u00een Irlanda din 2001 \u0219i este o veritabil\u0103 b\u0103n\u0103\u021beanc\u0103 din Lugoj, jude\u021bul Timi\u0219. Daniela este coordonator na\u021bional pentru NCP Migrant Family Support Service, un serviciu care ofer\u0103 informa\u021bii \u0219i sprijin familiilor cu privire la protec\u021bia copilului pe teritoriul Irlandei. De asemenea, Daniela este implicat\u0103, ca Freelance Event Manager, \u00een organizarea multor festivaluri \u0219i evenimente culturale locale \u0219i na\u021bionale. \u00cen timpul liber Daniela contribuie la diferite proiecte de caritate, locale \u0219i interna\u021bionale, din sectorul comunitar, cum ar fi voluntariatul pentru ISPCC (Irish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children) din 2004. Daniela was a Board member of RCI since 2007 and the Vicepresident of the organization since 2016. She is living in Ireland since 2001, proudly coming from Western Romania. <\/span>Daniela is the National Coordinator of the NCP Migrant Family Support Service. She is working closely to support and advocate for migrant parents experiencing child protection interventions. She is also a dedicated freelance Event Manager, having been involved in organizing a series of festivals, cultural and corporate events. In her spare time, Daniela is involved in a number of charity projects, locally and internationally in the voluntary and community initiative arena. As such she has vast experience volunteering for the ISPCC (Irish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children) since 2004. Building confidence and capacity in those around her is the core of Daniela\u2019s work ethos. <\/span>Apart from the charity and the community work, Daniela is a follower of Irish and international rugby, keen choral music singer and a (not so secret) film festivals enthusiast. Daniela was Chair of the Board in 2014\/2015 and vice-president between 2016.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

George este membru al Comitetului Director RCI din 2014 \u0219i Pre\u015fedinte\u00a0al organiza\u021biei de la 1 iunie 2016. Este prahovean la origine, \u00eens\u0103 continuarea studiilor \u0219i apoi cariera profesional\u0103 l-au determinat s\u0103 devin\u0103 bucure\u0219tean. \u00cen toamna lui 2013 a hot\u0103r\u00e2t s\u0103 dea un \u201crestart\u201d vie\u021bii sale \u0219i a p\u0103r\u0103sit Rom\u00e2nia cu destina\u021bia Irlanda. Cu un Master \u00een Comunicare \u0219i Rela\u021bii Publice \u0219i licen\u021biat \u00een Management Turistic \u0219i Comercial, George a acumulat o bogat\u0103 experien\u021b\u0103 \u00een marketing, management, comunicare social\u0103 \u0219i organiza\u021bional\u0103. George is a Board member of RCI since 2014 and the Chairman of the organization since June 2016. He\u00a0<\/span>is originally from Prahova, Romania, but later he had to move to Bucharest to continue his studies and professional carrier. In autumn of 2013 he decided to leave Romania for Ireland for a new \u201cre-start\u201d. George has Master degree in Communications and Public Relations, diploma in Tourist and Commercial Management, which made him get a vast experience in marketing, management, social and organisational communications. He describes himself as an authentic \u201cLibra\u201d with spirit of Justice, fairness and trustworthy and has ongoing thirst for knowledge and personal development. George is a member of Romanian Community of Ireland since spring of 2014 and he wishes to contribute to the efforts of organization to promote Romanian cultural and traditional values.<\/em><\/p>\n

M-am n\u0103scut \u015fi am crescut la poalele T\u00e2mpei, \u00een frumosul ora\u0219 Bra\u0219ov. In anul 2000 am decis s\u0103 vin \u00een Irlanda pentru un trai mai bun. Am descoperit voluntariatul \u00een anii adolescen\u0163ei c\u00e2nd am \u00eenceput s\u0103 lucrez cu copiii din orfelinate sau din familii mai pu\u021bin \u00eenst\u0103rite. Am descoperit organiza\u021bia Romanian Community of Ireland dup\u0103 mul\u021bi ani \u015fi \u00een acela\u0219i timp am v\u0103zut nevoia tot mai mare de a ajuta comunitatea noastr\u0103 din Irlanda. C\u0103ldura \u015fi entuziasmul acestor oameni frumo\u0219i m-au \u201eatras\u201d, astfel al\u0103tur\u00e2ndu-m\u0103 echipei \u00een Iunie 2016. I was born and raised in the beautiful town Brasov which is situated at the bottom of T\u00e2mpa Mountain. In 2000 I decided to move to Ireland, for a better life. I discovered volunteering during teenage years when I started working with children in orphanages and less fortunate families. After many years, I discovered Romanian Community of Ireland and the increasing need of helping our community in Ireland. The warmth and enthusiasm of these beautiful people \u201cfascinated\u201d me; therefore I joined the team in June 2016. Mari was vice-president between 2017- 2018.<\/em><\/p>\n

Rare\u0219-Mihai Nicula<\/strong> – A de\u021binut func\u021bia de pre\u015fedinte\u00a0al Comitetului Director al RCI<\/span><\/h5>\n

Originar din Bistri\u021ba, Transilvania, Rare\u0219 este absolvent al Facult\u0103\u021bii de Istorie \u0219i Filosofie a Universit\u0103\u021bii Babe\u0219-Bolyai \u0219i Doctor \u00een Sociologia Rela\u021biilor Interna\u021bionale la Universitatea din Trieste. Printre ariile de cercetare care i-au acaparat aten\u021bia se num\u0103r\u0103 sociologia migra\u021biei, diploma\u021bia \u0219i sistemele politice. Rare\u0219 este un iubitor al muzicii folk \u0219i c\u00e2nt\u0103 la chitar\u0103. Locuie\u0219te \u00een Irlanda din 2007 \u0219i este membru al echipei RCI din anul 2013.<\/p>\n

Originally from Bistrita, in the heart of Transylvania, Rares was awarded a Hon. BA at Babes Bolyai University and a PhD degree in Sociology in International Relations at the University of Trieste, Italy. Among his research interests are sociology of migrations, diplomacy and political systems. Rares is also a folk music lover and plays guitar. He has been living in Ireland since 2007 and decided to join the RCI team in 2013.<\/em><\/p>\n

Emanuel Silaghi<\/strong> –\u00a0A de\u021binut func\u021bia de pre\u015fedinte\u00a0al Comitetului Director al RCI<\/span><\/h5>\n

Emanuel Silaghi vine din Oradea, Jud. Bihor unde a crescut alaturi de o mama si inca un frate. Nici bine dupa terminarea liceului, din pasiune pentru arta si dorinta de a-si pune imaginatia in actiune, studiaza timp de trei ani, Jurnalism. Provocat fiind de circumstantele vietii, alaturi de sotia lui se muta pentru o scurta perioada in Austria iar mai apoi dupa o alta perioada de timp isi incepe o noua fila din viata lor in Germania. Aici fara nici un studiu de limba germana, accepta provocarea de a studia o noua meserie, aceea de Asistent Medical, pentru ai ajuta pe oamenii in varsta si pe cei in nevoi. Timp de trei ani si-a dedicat energia si cunostintele pentru a reda o speranta oamenilor in comunitatea nemteasca. Dar pentru ca ii place sa traiasca viata, sa creeze emotii si amintiri, impreuna cu sotia lui Manuela Silaghi continua sa poposeasca in cele din urma si in Irlanda. Stabilit de la inceputul luni Iunie 2017 reuseste sa se integreze atat in comunitatea Romanieasca cat si in cea Irlandeza prin faptul ca se alatura echipei RCI ca si voluntar. In momentul de fata este angajat al companiei Accenture din Dublin (Data Management Operation) si noul director al Comunitatii Romanilor din Irlanda (RCI).<\/p>\n

Emanuel Silaghi comes from Oradea, County Bihor where he grew up with his mother and another brother. As soon as he finished high-school, out of passion for art and desire to practice his imagination, he studied Journalism for 3 years. Challenged by the circumstances of live, together with his wife, he moved for a short period of time to Austria and then continued another page of their life in Germany. Here, without any knowledge of German language, he accepted a new challenge: to study for Medical Nurse, in order to help the elderly and the ones in need. For three years, he dedicated his energy and knowledge in order to bring some hope to the people in the German community. However, because he loves to live life to the full, to create emotions and memories, together with his wife Manuela Silaghi, goes on and decides to live in Ireland. Arriving at the beginning of the month of June 2017, he succeeds to settle both in the Romanian community and the Irish community by joining the RCI team as a volunteer.\u00a0At present, he is employed by Accenture in Dublin (Data Management Operation) and he is the Chairman of the Romanian Community of Ireland (RCI).<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"Daniela este o Ardeleanca din Judetul Alba si este in Irlanda din 2009, unde locuieste alaturi de familia ei. S-a alaturat RCI in vara anului 2019, dupa un an in Comitetul Director al Citizens Information unde a activat ca si voluntar. Daniela este Consultant Resurse umane si legislatia muncii si este pasionata de consiliere si dezvoltare profesionala, in special a femeilor. Daniela is from Transylvania, county Alba and has been in Ireland since 2009, where she lives with her family. She joined RCI in the summer of 2019, after serving as a volunteer Director on the Board of Citizens Information. Daniela is a Human Resources and Employment Law Consultant and is passionate about career coaching and professional development, especially for women. Anita este din Bucure\u0219ti, dar se simte gorjeanc\u0103 prin bunici. A absolvit Facultatea de \u0218tiin\u021be Politice din cadrul Universit\u0103\u021bii Bucure\u0219ti \u0219i studii de masterat \u00een domeniul fondurilor europene \u00een cadrul Academiei de Studii Economice. A descoperit voluntariatul \u00een timpul studen\u021biei \u0219i consider\u0103 c\u0103 \u00een Rom\u00e2nia voluntariatul trebuie promovat la acela\u0219i nivel ca \u00een Irlanda. Anita is from Bucharest, but she spent her childhood in Gorj with her grandparents. She graduated Political Science from the University of Bucharest and Master studies in the field of structural funds management from the University of Economic Studies. She has started volunteering as a student and believes that in Romania volunteering should be promoted at the same level as in Ireland.
