Social Entrepreneurs Ireland today launches a search for Ireland 's leading social entrepreneurs - and you can help!
As part of our ongoing programme to foster and encourage social entrepreneurship in Ireland we are looking to find exceptional people with exceptional ideas, true innovators who can drive change and offer the possibility of tackling entrenched social problems in new ways.
Over the coming months we plan to select a number of early stage social entrepreneurs to join our Awards Programme. This will give them access to a range of supports that will effectively position them for long-term success.
We need you to help us find these exceptional individuals.

What do we look for?
Social Entrepreneurs Ireland looks for
.... exceptional people - people who are passionate, resourceful, opportunistic, have the discipline to execute their plan, have learnt from failure and kept going
.... with exceptional ideas - ideas that are innovative, effective, have high growth potential, are replicable, with potential to effect country-wide change
.... that solve entrenched social problems in Ireland
Supports available through our Awards Programme include financial support, technical support, networking and mentoring.
How can you get involved?
If you are interested in applying for our Awards Programme then let us know who you are and what you do by completing the application form.
If you know of a social entrepreneur or of someone who would be interested in finding out more then send us their contact details or forward them the application form. Taking the time to connect us with these exceptional people has the potential to make a real and lasting difference - both to the social entrepreneurs who receive awards from Social Entrepreneurs Ireland and ultimately to the communities they serve.
Full details on the awards are contained in the attached overview and application forms. Remember we invest in people, we do not support projects or organisations that are not led by a social entrepreneur. Completed applications must be received by 5pm Friday 30th March 2007 so if you know of anyone who may be interested in applying please forward them this information as soon as possible.
