Sean Coughlan will visit Cairde Friday 7th April from 10.30 – 1pm and he will give a brief about the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland and their financial support.
Social Entrepreneurs Ireland is an initiative, established to encourage and support the development of social entrepreneurship in Ireland.
We believe that innovation and social change in Ireland will be driven by exceptional people with exceptional ideas. We have therefore developed a support model that helps these social entrepreneurs grow their ideas from concept to reality.
Over the last 12 months Social Entrepreneurs Ireland has selected 16 leading Irish social entrepreneurs, true innovators who are passionate about changing their communities for the better. We believe that with the support of Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, the business community, academic sector and others, this group of extraordinary people are going have a lasting, positive impact on their communities and on Ireland as a whole.
The programme offers two award levels as part of our commitment to invest in innovation:
Level 1 is designed to help new ideas become real projects. Level 1 is aimed at individuals who are not yet working full time on their projects to help with the running costs. Awards consist of once-off investments of €1,000 - €5,000
Level 2 is designed to support existing social entrepreneur led projects. Level 2 will include financial support towards the living expenses of award winners allowing them to work full time on their projects. Awards consist of 2 year investments of €25,000 – €40,000 per annum
