Set Up Engineer Ref: 5521

Update & generate, and build setup files – will need to become familiar with MSI logic/technology, Office build processes, as well as normal loc generation process. Vendor support – Responding to vendor issues logged via Product studio. Bug Fixing – Fixing assigned bugs that come from the Vendor and Core localized team. Design and execute eng quality – Putting processes in place for all eng to use in setup. Maintain regular communications with US counterparts and application teams. Working closely in Setup with Testing, Build, File Management team and APP PM. Verify localization of the hand back of EDB’s from the Vendor sites. Lockit – keeping it updated with relevant information for Vendor aid in localising office setup components. Ensuring that any milestones are met with regard to the localisation process. We will consider a strong tester for this role.

Production Support Analyst Ref:5506

Research, resolve and respond to customer questions received from telephone calls, email, service request, callbacks or escalations and provide support on electronic services in accordance with current standards and SLA. Provide accurate and creative solutions to internal customer problems to ensure customer satisfaction with IT products and support delivery. Works independently within established policies and procedures. Manage the implementation and support of systems in a production environment. Manage implementation of new releases into production. Manages project team activities prior to release and contributes to documentation requirements consistent with methodology. Learn and remain current in relevant product offerings necessary for assignment. Enhance knowledge and application of current support policies and methods of support delivery; attend training sessions offered within the group. Requirements: In-depth knowledge of software including, but not limited to: Windows XP/2000/2003, SQL Server. Strong knowledge of database design and implementation. Demonstrated ability to write and/or troubleshoot complex stored procedures. Solid IIS, ASP, and/or .NET experience required. Knowledge of command files, VB.NET, and C# a plus. Strong analysis and customer service skills required.

Software Engineer Ref: 5463

Job consists of running and maintaining automation scripts in a highly changeable and real time environment. Requirements: Knowledge of VB script an advantage but not a requirement. Thorough troubleshooting and analysis skills are required. Efficient escalation of issues and precise and timely comms are required. The role requires someone who is happy working in an environment with constant change, reacting quickly to issues, able to track through a technical process to find the cause of a problem and to communicate appropriately to stakeholders.

Software Test Engineer Ref: 4686
This team is responsible for the Office suite’s client & server products. You will be responsible for the testing and release of localised Office by following high quality procedures & processes as part of the centre of localisation excellence. You will deliver a fully tested localized Office product within agreed schedules & budgets, to the highest quality standards, while also implementing systems & processes. Responsibilities: Supporting Test Vendors, Hands on Testing, Test Planning and Process Improvement. Requirements: Good knowledge of operating systems with some troubleshooting. Expected to gain good knowledge of assigned product, test process and tools. Have good working knowledge of Office Applications and other related products. Knowledge of Web\XML Technologies an advantage.

System Engineer Ref: 5355

Requirements: Windows Infrastructure knowledge. Domain Management (Windows 2000, extending to Windows 2003). Knowledge of IPSec security policy implementation or Knowledge of public key infrastructure (PKI) implementations. Extranet and Internet technologies. Good working knowledge of network infrastructures, to include IP subnetting, routing and DNS. DBA level knowledge of SQL Server 2000, to include extensive knowledge of data backup and recovery practices, performance analysis and troubleshooting, and security implementation. Ability to write and/or troubleshoot complex stored procedures. Knowledge of SQL replication would be useful.

Software Localisation Engineer Ref: 5604

Liaise with and educate developers about the localization and globalization requirements of online games. Create and maintain loc kits for the localization vendors. Create localized builds of Xbox 360 and PC online games for internal and external products teams. Trouble shoot functional bugs within the products. Requirements: 3-5 years software localization engineering experience. Thorough knowledge of software localization process including Loc Studio. Experience dealing with localization vendor teams and development teams. Experience managing engineering tasks on multiple small projects simultaneously. Experience releasing projects within a 4 and 12 weeks cycle.

Software Development Engineer Ref: 5605

We have the job for you! The role involves providing tool & automation support to external engineering teams across Europe. Investigating functional bugs on assigned tools/automation. May take part in the tools and automation development efforts within the team. Interacting with all functions across the wider team as required (Project Managers; Software Development Engineer; Software Test Engineers, Microsoft Company Partners). Logging bugs adhering to bug management standards and ensures follow-through procedures. Providing training on tools and automation when appropriate to the product team. Manages & actions output of tools & processes to ensure systems integrity. Contributes to the product post-mortem, responsible for archiving the project in accordance with current procedures. Requirements: Working towards Information Technology related qualification. Working and installation knowledge of operating systems and the technologies associated with them. A working knowledge of scripting languages such as VB, C++, HTML.
