As you know, I am currently doing research on the problems experienced by non-EU or EEA nationals resident in Ireland in gaining recognition of qualifications and prior learning, and in accessing further or higher education. This research is for ADM (now Pobal) and NEP (Network of Education Personnel).
As part of this research, I am trying to find somebody who is not an EU or EEA national, who is married to an Irish citizen, and who has had problems in these area. If there was someone who was willing, I would like to talk to them about the problems they have experienced with getting the education they got in their country of origin recognised in Ireland, and with trying to get into a college or university. Any information given to me would be kept anonymous and in confidence. I'd just need to meet the person for about half an hour and record what they have to say (or just take notes if that's what they prefer). Anything I then planned to use in the published report which will result from this research would be sent to them for approval before it was published.
