Job Title Hardware Engineer
Department Engineering/Multiviewers
Location EMEA (Dublin)
Job Description
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Multiviewers, the Hardware Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and testing hardware solutions from detailed specifications provided by others
Responsibilities also include:
- Member of design team responsible for hardware design, this includes both high speed digital video board design and FPGA design
- Board design includes, schematic capture, layout, design for manufacturing and test of high speed digital video boards
- FPGA Design includes designing using VHDL, developing, simulating, verifying, synthesizing and testing video and audio processing IP blocks on hardware designs
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- Excellent writing, editing, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Show initiative and be pro-active
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to operate under minimal or no supervision
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds required
- Batchelor’s degree in Electronics, or equivalent, is required
Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
- Knowledge of High Speed digital board design
- Knowledge Mentor Pads Schematic Capture and layout
- Knowledge and experience using VHDL on Xilinx or Altera FPGAs
