Am fost rugat de colegii din grup sa fac publica oferta urmatoare printre cercurile de romani. Din cate stiu eu aici pe forum nu au postat astfel de romani dar niciodata nu se stie. Daca doriti si alte detalii va raspund cu placere.
2 PhD positions, in the field of low-temperature experimental plasma physics are immediately available at the National Centre for Plasma Science and Technology, Dublin City University, Ireland. The research will involve development of a novel Plasma Source for the production of Negative Ion Plasma and its characterization using both new and standard plasma diagnostic techniques.
The investigation from these works will find direct application in neutral ion beam source for fusion research, which is being developed at CEA Cadarache, France. The new plasma source developed under this research program will also be applied for systematic study of plasma surface interaction with materials immersed in plasma.
The scholarships will be offered for a period of 3 years. The students will get opportunities for attending workshops, national and international conferences for presenting scientific results. He/She would also travel to other research institutes, under the DCU-EURATOM mobility program for carrying out experimental diagnostics.
A minimum qualification at the level of M.Sc Physics/Electronics or B. Tech in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering is required. Interested candidates should be highly motivated for research. The applicants should possess good communication skill in English. Familiarity with Labview, Matlab/ Mathematica is desirable.
