"Emigrants face delay on entry decisions

EMIGRANTS from Romania and Bulgaria risk being stopped from entering Ireland until the end of next year.

Unlike the rest of the new EU member states from Eastern Europe, the Government imposed entry restrictions on low-skilled workers from the two latest countries to join the European Union.

The decision was taken after a similar policy was adopted in Britain. The British government agreed yesterday to continue restricting the number of unskilled Romanian and Bulgarian workers entering the country until "the end of 2008".

Now the Government here is planning to review the rules for the relevant emigrants at the start of next year.

High skilled workers from both Romania and Bulgaria can apply to work here.

Just 106 work permits were granted to Romanians this year whilst only 33 workers from Bulgaria were given access."

Da, normal, "entering" difera "working". Deci sunt de acord, articol de toata jena.
Nu inteleg in schimb de ce in majoritatea articolelor de acest gen se spune ca restrictia se aplica numai celor low-skill. De parca cei high skilled n-au nevoie de work permit ca sa lucreze.
Chiar daca in unele cazuri se acorda mai usor (vezi green card), pentru majoritatea joburilor high skilled conditiile pentru obtinerea unui work permit sunt aceleasi ca cele pentru joburi low-skilled (in primul rand dovada ca nu s-a gasit nici un bastinas care sa ocupe jobul respectiv).
Deci, ca esti high-skilled sau low-skilled din Romania ai acelasi status ca un indian sau rus, dpdv al accesului la piata muncii.
